EVAN METCALF, percussion
Evan Metcalf is a Green Bay native and graduate of Edison Middle School and Preble High School. He is currently pursuing a degree in Instrumental Music Education at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, where he studies percussion with Will Kemperman. Evan has played with many groups in the Green Bay area, including the Green Bay Youth Symphony, the Green Bay City Band, the Civic Symphony, and almost every ensemble at his high school.  His favorite percussion instrument is timpani, but he of course enjoys playing and practicing all instruments and styles of music.

In addition to playing percussion, Evan enjoys playing many instruments and singing. He currently sings in the Concert Choir at St. Thomas and plays string bass in the university’s Symphonic Band. In his free time (the little amount there is) one of his favorite instruments to learn and play is flute. He hopes to use his passion for learning new things to help new and developing musicians gain the same love for music that he has.
